This Page Is Intentionally Left Blank

Believe it or not, this is the text that IBM actually print on a blank page in their manuals ( well, what they consider blank in their world - i.e. a page with text on it ). I use this phrase because while I have no updates from the exciting world of the McKendry's sofa, I feel I should be updating the blog. Is this because I feel inspired ? No, it is because it feels like a Sunday night before I have to hand in my term paper on Monday morning. This essay has to be handed in, as my editor Kate Duthie has sent me another reminder. It says " hell must have frozen over I guess since it's that long since you added anything to your blog as predicted in my quote 'hell will freeze over before Fraser adds another entry to his blog'. Idiot. " Kate must have added a new journalist to her staff, as her husband Rob has also sent me a kind reminder " The only image I have of you guys is one in my head of Fraser's arse hanging out of the fridge interspersed with him locked up in the spare room working from home. What the hell have you been up to. How is Lily doin' at high school now ? ".
I was hoping to pad out my essay by inserting lots of cute photos of our gal, but we discovered this week that the two rolls of 36 exposure films we had taken over the last 2 months, came back blank from the Boots, the chemist. I can hear all of your with digital cameras yelling " that cannot happen with a digital camera " but I am choosing to ignore you. Feel free to email me when you have accidentally erased all of your photos, or the hard disk you copied everything to has crashed and it costs you $ 500 to get them all back. As you can tell I am slightly miffed. I should have bought a digital camera.

Well, my office is up and running, with all sorts of technical kit that has taken me some time to understand and then install. VoIP phone adpaters, Wireless ADSL routers, faxes, scanners, answering machine, laptops, desktops, mobile phones, DVD writers, and too many manuals. I am from small town NZ, what is this stuff all about? No worries, should have sold the lot of it down the pub by the end of the week.

The McKendry's London Branch have basically just been out and about visiting friends, and staying out for the weekend. The poor gal has spent the last 4 weekends in a travel cot, which has seen her sleeping in the most strange yoga, and SAS stress positions. Still, apparently they do not remember the first 18 years of their lives or something, so it shouldn't traumatise her.

The wife is getting herself prepared for Donald and Meline's upcoming wedding in New York this September, so has been shopping for outfits, having haircuts, and booking her grooming session in at the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class lounge, or whatever it is called. After every shopping trip she then says " oh, I am going to miss Lily so much when I am away for 4 days " and then bursts into tears. I then look at all of the receipts and then I burst into tears. Any chance of bringing the wedding forward Donald ?

Right, I had better get back to looking at manuals and press a button or two.

" Aw, not even, ow "

Below are photos of Gabriella and Lily, when we went to visit Gabby's drunken parents Jon and Kate in Oxford. Photos were taken by Kate, and guess what she used? That's right, a digital camera.

Indeed losing two months worth of pix of your rapidly growing child is bad. You do know you're not supposed to open the back of the camera don't you? Anyway, like you we have always been fans of the 35mm film camera but strayed into the digital camera field. It is brilliant, espcially with kids, because you can retake 500 times when they won't look at the camera and just want to eat it. However, after spending the days of Scarlett's second birthday and her birthday party snapping pix, I then deleted them from the camera BEFORE I had copied them to the PC. At least your photo loss wasn't your fault, whereas I am the incompetent parent who will always have to listen to variations on "So Mum, how come there are no pictures of when I turned two? Didn't you love me that year?...." etc etc
